Mallory is a Whitefish local with deep roots in her community. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Montana and will be pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of Montana starting in the Fall 2022 semester.

In 2017 Mallory and her partner moved to Kellogg, Idaho in order to buy a home that they could afford, while also working jobs that paid decent wages. While in Kellogg she was the Coordinator of the Historic Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce, where she was responsible for organizing and putting on community events like the farmers’ market.

Mallory was raised by a single mom until the age of 6. In her early childhood, Mallory’s mom worked at the Buffalo Cafe and was able to rent small homes in Whitefish on a service industry wage. Money was tight, but her mom was always able to find housing. This would unlikely be the case today in Whitefish. Her experience as a child paired with her experience in adulthood watching the community of her friends being priced out of Whitefish drove Mallory to get involved. She co-founded Shelter WF to advocate for housing options for low and middle-income earners.
